Jump on Board!

It’s only a few days now until lockdown is over and although life is still set to be very much outdoors for the next few weeks, I am so excited to be able to see family and friends again. So what will you be wearing on 29th March…? I, for one, will not be in anything remotely resembling jogging bottoms/leggings/sweatshirts or even jeans. It’s got to be something better than that. But obviously not over the top as – let’s face it – it’ll only be in the garden at best and no doubt the temperatures will not be balmy.

So a dress or skirt is definitely an option or what about a jumpsuit? It’s laidback in look and effortlessly stylish. Apart from the obvious practical issues around going to the loo, it’s one of my absolute favourite pieces of clothing. Full stop.

A lot of my clients aren’t totally sold but if you get the right one, it’ll be an absolute staple that you can wear casually, to the office and out in the evening. Here are a few pics to show you how I’ve styled up the ones I am wearing which are linked below.

Carla Jumpsuit Black Tencel £195 Jennifer Anne Petite

I love this with either a thin roll neck or stripe top worn underneath to make it work for the current weather.

Carla Jumpsuit Denim £175 Jennifer Anne Petite

Originally founded to create workwear for the petite woman, the collection now includes more relaxed pieces that are incredibly versatile and will span the smart-casual divide. As someone who is only 5 foot 2″, finding a jumpsuit can be tough if you don’t want your crotch down by your knees or legs that drag on the floor! But this is a real goodie.

If you aren’t vertically challenged, then here are my top picks:

Buy Now, Wear Now

Black Zip Cotton Boilersuit £129 Mint Velvet

Paloma Jumpsuit £99 Hush

Hush always does a good jumpsuit and this one is no exception, particularly if you are after sleeves which I am at this time of year.

Washed Utility Jumpsuit £110 Hush

I love the khaki of this style.

Emory Lyocell Jumpsuit £159 Baukjen

This certainly has the ability to be dressed up for the office with heels or smart flats. It also comes in khaki.

Irene Jumpsuit £139 Baukjen

An easy to wear print that you can do a lot with and in a soft jersey which is sustainable. So many boxes ticked. And that is why it’s already sold out in 8 and 10.

They have also started renting out pieces from their collection so you can always try one their jumpsuits for under £30 for 2 weeks and see how you like it.

Denim Jumpsuit £90 Bricks & Stitches

There is also a similar style in white cotton which I would be all over were it not for the baby and her sticky fingers!

Long Denim Jumpsuit £59 Mango

I think I need to lose the baby and swap her for this as the two could not co-exist….only joking obviously. I also think stilts would be necessary so if you’re tall then go for it!

Forward Planning

Washed Linen Jumpsuit £99 Hush

If you’re thinking ahead to an outdoors-y summer then a linen one will have your name on it. Also in khaki.

Reina Jersey Jumpsuit £75 Hush

And if you’re really thinking ahead to sunny days, go for this sleeveless number. The jersey material will make it feel like you’re still wearing your pjs – in a good way.

Holly Print Jumpsuit £129 Mint Velvet

I love everything about this style apart from the fact it probably isn’t quite warm enough to wear it right now.

Ella Jumpsuit £59 Marie & Lola

Super chic. Super elegant. Yes please.

Alberta Jersey Jumpsuit £75 Boden

A beautiful burnt orange the colour of sunsets, but it also comes in a couple of prints.

Corey Zip Casual Jumpsuit £119 Whistles

This colour just shouts summer holidays and ice creams! So fingers crossed we can go on one. It also comes in green and black.
