Party Pieces
With the party season well and truly upon us and fingers crossed an actual Christmas to celebrate with friends and family this year, my last blog for 2021 is packed full of ideas for what to wear and how to wear these well beyond the festive season.
There are lots of lovely brands that I have discovered from Instagram and had the pleasure of working with, a discount code as well as high street heroes.
For lots more styling ideas head to my Instagram to see my party wear reels which I have linked here.

All about the bling
Nothing says party like a bit of sparkle but a lot of the sequins have been snapped up already. Here are some great bits which you can still find.
This is made with recycled sequins so ticks the sustainability and style boxes. Wear yours with anything from denim to coated jeans, leather trousers and more. Pop over a blazer and shoes of your choice and you are good to go.
Sequin Ruched Sleeve Blazer £69 M&S
This comes in silver and black and is definitely not just for Christmas. I love the styling here dressed down with denim and a tee but you can also up the ante with tulle/leather/coated jeans.
Rockstar Blazer £80 Queen Bee Collective
A great brand filled with gorgeous clothing, accessories and homewear too.
Dahlia V Neck Glitter Jumpsuit £89 Hush
This is the ideal party-wear in my book, enough sparkle to look like you’ve made the effort but a relaxed silhouette that doesn’t look like you’ve tried too hard. Add a belt to cinch you in (- try one of the gorgeous ones from Pink Rose which would be enough to lift the plainest of outfits). Plus it has room for food expansion over the Christmas period. Definitely a party piece that will live on beyond December.
Sequin Trousers £44 Mimi’s Edit
Quote LOPEZ10 for your discount! There are lots of sparkles to be had plus a whole host of other pieces from this lovely brand. Pair yours with the Sia Sequin High Neck Top £45 for a co-ord or wear dressed down with a cami. Plus you then have several looks in one as you can wear your top in a whole host of different ways.
White Coco is one of my go-to shops for knitwear, but they do so much more. These would be equally as fab on holiday with a white tee or cami and for any party.
This skirt will do all the talking so keep it simple with a fluffy knit as here, white shirt, tee or cami top. Then pair yours with a sweatshirt and trainers for a dressed down look.
Velvet Sequin Midi Skirt £37.20 Warehouse
Glitter High Heel Shoes £45.99 Zara
Yes Cinderalla, you will go to the ball! Perfect with a simple straight leg jean and top. Zara has so many sequin courts, slingbacks, jewelled mules, sequin boots, metallic sandals and much much more to choose from. Here are a couple of styles to whet your appetite.
Flat Mules with Rhinestones £59.99 Zara
Sparkle naysayers
So not everyone is a magpie, after the sparkly stuff! If that’s you then think about other textures such as velvet, tulle, pearls or even a simple cami under a blazer…
Leopard Print Tulle Skirt £120 Bricks & Stitches
Dress up with a blazer or a statement knit and heels or boots but these look just as great with trainers and a sweatshirt.
Tulle Skirt £90 Bricks & Stitches
They also come in lots of colours which again you can dress down with a chunky knit once the parties are done.
Thea Pleated Velour Skirt £65 Hush
Velvet is another lovely alternative to shimmer and shine.
Velvet Trousers and Blazer Zara
It’s hard to find a velvet trouser/jacket that is in stock but Zara does have some sizes.
Wear as a suit or separates with anything from a silky blouse to a simple knit or even a tee. Trainers will give a modern look but sandals or heels will dress this up.
If you don’t have a cami in your life, then get one! They can work with any of these styles and will be a wardrobe mainstay.
Delilah V Neck Cami Top £49 Hush
Boden is great at a party flat so try these which will liven up even the most basic of outfits.
Pandora Pearl Flats £54 Rose & Wren
There are lots of be-jewelled kitten heels and flats to pair with anything from fluffy knits and jeans to tuxedos.
There’s obviously so much more you can do if you don’t want to buy anything new – look to your accessories: a statement necklace or earrings, a metallic clutch or sandal will work really well to bring the party to your outfit.
Have a lovely December and see you in the New Year! x
