The Bottom Issue: The Trousers To Get You Out Of Skinny Jeans

And by bottoms, I mean what to put on them to get you out of the skinny jeans rut….

Last week my posts on Instagram about the necessity for having different cuts of trousers and jeans, really hit a chord with a lot of people and I had so many questions asking me where my styles were from. So I thought I would put together a bumper blog to give you current options to cover the different trouser styles you need in your life.

One simple rule of thumb for these bottoms is that they will generally work better when paired with a more fitted top half as the volume is in the bottom. Or just tuck in your top to create the right proportions. And that’s it.

And if you didn’t catch them, then head to my Instagram page for this and much more daily style/fashion/outfit inspiration.

And these are all under £100 (well apart from one style) and nearly half are under £50 so there’s something for every budget.

I love a good khaki cargo, I had a great pair of Hudson ones that after about seven years and numerous trips to the seamstress was more patch than pant. I know they aren’t always in fashion, but do you have any suggestions on where to find some?

Hi Sharon, hush has a soft one called Nina, Mint Velvet has a skinny leg pair too. Paige has a cuffed jogging bottom type. There are loads out there depends on the shape/style you want as they range from tapered and cuffed to wider legged options. slim fitting styles are a bit harder to find.

    Hi
I’m looking for a new style of Jean but I always struggle as I’m 5ft 1
I have a couple of wide leg ones from Mint Velvet.
But I’m looking for something black or dark blue! No grey n no zips
    Any suggestions ?

M&S, Boden, Next and Topshop are all worth looking at for short/petite lengths.
