Beach Vibes

With half term around the corner and the summer holidays a hop, skip and a jump away, it’s time to have a look at what to wear on the beach. While you may not be lazily wafting around a pool-side cabana, cocktail in hand and are possibly a bit more of the lopsided sunglasses, slightly pink-faced look while chasing little people around with sun-cream, that doesn’t mean you can’t do it in style.

Here are my top ten picks:

Goa Embroidered Dress £89 Hush This is one of my favourite pieces in Hush at the moment because it’s laid back enough to work on the beach during the day, but also perfect for sundowners.

Grecian Mini Dress £45 Hush A lovely swingy, loose fitting number that will definitely keep you cool in the sun but with a nice pair of sandals, hat and some jewellery you can push on through to dinner.

Panel Maxi Dress £59 Hush If you want a daytime maxi for throwing on over your swimwear, then this is your man. The epitome of laidback chic.

Esmerelda Off the Shoulder Dress £95 Much et Muchette at Aspiga An off the shoulder dress is perfect for the beach and if you don’t already know about Aspiga, then do check them out for all things holiday. This comes in white and orange.

Tara Sheer Maxi Kaftan £65 Aspiga This is holiday glamour parcelled up in one kaftan. When you are baring all in front of complete strangers, this is the perfect safety blanket for around the pool.

Kiara Printed Maxi Kaftan £69 Monsoon Or nail boho luxe with this little number. The image doesn’t do this justice but it’s a very lovely in the flesh.

Tie Dye Lace Kaftan £35 Accessorize If you like the idea of a kaftan but want a shorter style then this is perfect. I have a very similar one from Accessorize a few years ago that has been a brilliant buy and I have worn it every holiday since.

Dani Embroidered Kaftan £35 Accessorize There’s nothing like a bit of colourful embroidery on white cheesecloth to say holiday and this is a lovely cover-up option.

Balinese Print Playsuit £29 Accessorize All the practicality of shorts but with a touch more style, that’s what a beach playsuit is for me and this one is lovely.
